61 Anglers have caught 261 Rainbows to 13lb 8oz

53 rainbows were kept at an average weight of 2lb 3oz
Very cold winds and low water levels have kept angler numbers down. Anglers who don’t mind plodging around in the muddy margins have had some very good sport form all around the lake. The water levels are going up steadily and at this rate we should be full by mid to late April if we get some rain we will be full a lot sooner.
Sunday 6th
12 Anglers have caught 48 Fish Rod Average 4
10 fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 6oz

Jason Nunn had excellent 4hours fishing the bank in front of the jetty; he caught twenty six rainbows to 4lb on Dawson’s olive fished on a floating line.

Monday 7th
11 Anglers caught 30 Fish Rod average 2.7
7 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb.
Bank
The bright sunshine and a very cold breeze spoiled the fishing today Malcolm Carter did the best catching eight rainbows to 4lb 12oz from the bank.

Tuesday 8th
9 Anglers caught 15 Rainbows Rod average 1.7
5 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb
John Urquhart caught three rainbows from the moor side returning one of 13lb. Keith Richards had four and E Halliday four.

6 Anglers caught 10 Rainbows Rod average 1.7
4 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 0oz

Colin Green caught six rainbows to 4lb and returned one 3lb out of season brown.

Friday 11th
Stocked today with 220 rainbows from 1lb 12oz to 6lb
5 Anglers caught 45 Rainbows. Rod average 9
4 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 4oz

Dave Appleton caught twenty two rainbows to 5lb fishing in front of the boat jetty on black nomad’s .Ian Vickers had ten and Jon Nutsford eleven.

Saturday 12th
16 Anglers caught 103 Rainbows Rod average 6.4
19 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 6oz.
Bank
M Routledge caught sixteen rainbows fishing from the Whitby end of the dam to the point. M Lamb caught thirteen in the same aria.
Andrew Greet caught thirteen rainbows keeping two for 8lb 8oz all were caught from the moorside bank on small lures fished on a floating line. Alan Byfield had twelve fishing in front of the top moorside block. M Watson caught seven from the point.
