90 Anglers have caught 219 Rainbows to 5lb and 2 Browns

500 1lb 8oz to 3lb rainbows were stocked on Monday night the last 150 that were to go in on Friday have been put back until next Friday the 10th. Sport has improved with fish been caught from all areas of the bank. The water temperature at the jetty has been around the 12 to 13c mark all week and it is noticeable that the fish are a lot more active and are moving away from the streams and out of the deep water.
Junior James Welford caught fifteen from the dam on various Lures. Colin Brown caught eleven from the moor side and high bank and Whitby end of the dam three on a small Cats whisker five on hoppers and three on a small red buzzer fished under an indicator. John Mcgarrell caught seven to 4lb and lost a few on a Small Cats Whisker. John caught from the moor side point, high Bank and the dam wall. B Wild had seven from the dam and Ian Morrison caught seven, one from the jetty and six from the moor side. Jim Tate caught six fishing with a small Cats Whisker under an indicator close to the valve tower. Paul Blight caught six from the dam on Dawson’s Olive. Michael Kilvington caught six from the dam. Brian Gardiner had five from the dam and Bill Davison caught eight over two days from the moor side and the dam. Junior Tom Houlgate kept four rainbows for 11lb
Only five boats out all week. Dermot Speight caught nine on small black dries fishing along the moor side bank. Steve Mills had seven and Sean Thomas six fishing out from the jetty.
