Some very strong winds made bank and boat fishing difficult for most of the week. Anglers who could cope with the wind found fish close to the moor side bank catching most of their fish traditional wets such as Kate McLaren, Black Hoppers and Silver Invicta.
We are stocking on Friday 22nd with 240 Rainbows 180 from 1lb 8oz to 2lb 4oz and 60 from 4lb to 6lb. this along with the cooler water temperatures and the fish already in the lake starting to feed again should make for very good bank holiday sport.
Colin Brown caught six fishing small black dry’s along the margins on the moor side. Mark Jones caught five on Black Hoppers from the Holly Bush. Keith Thompson caught four from the holly bush on CDC Shuttlecocks. Ron Brown caught three from the top of the moor side on Silver Invicta and Dave Walker caught three from the top of the moor side on Claret Hoppers.
