17 Bait Anglers and 12 Fly Anglers have caught 87 Rainbows to 4lb 12oz and 12 Browns to 3lb
Rod Average 3.4
76 Rainbows were kept with 12 out of season Browns returned.
11 Rainbows have been returned by fly Anglers.
The very strong Southerly wind we had from Monday through to Friday combined with a lot of rain towards the end of the week made for difficult fishing conditions and kept rod numbers low.
Colin Brown caught five rainbows keeping a nice 4lb fish caught from the high bank on a hare’s ear suspender. He had two on that pattern from the high bank and three on a small Cats Whisker from the point.
Boat angler Mrs Olive Murray hooked eight fish but only brought one to the net. Paul Blight and Tim Grove both had fish from the point.
Norman Row kept eight rainbows for 15lb returning four browns and twenty seven roach. D Watts kept seven for 13lb and lost four more off one of the fish lost was estimated at between 10 and 12lb. All were caught 100mt along from the overflow. J Timmins kept four for 11lb his best fish was 4lb.
