It’s been another mixed week with some anglers doing very well and others finding it difficult. The bank has fished better than boats but this could be because there haven’t been many boats on the water. On some nights the lake has had fish rising all over and on others it’s been dead Dry’s and nymphs have accounted for most of the fish with bank anglers catching there fish close to the bank. Bank and boat anglers have had fish on Black Buzzers, Silver Invicta, Damsels, Hares Ear nymph, Olive and Hares ear Klinkhamers, Shuttle Cocks, Cutthroat Cats and Cats Whisker.

Colin Brown Caught 20 rainbows to 5lb from the jetty on small black hoppers fished dry and Buzzers fished 6 to 12” under an indicator on Thursday he returned on Friday and caught six more on dry’s from a boat. Michael Powell caught fifteen rainbows to 7lb on Orange Crunchers and Silver Invicta fished 6ft behind a Blob or Egg fly that he fished quite quickly to create a wake. I Fenton and S Lilley caught eleven between them from a boat on lures keeping six rainbows for 16lb. Keith Bunnett caught seventeen over two days on Hares Ear Klinkhamers eight on Friday from a boat and nine on Saturday from the bottom of the moor side. Phil Stentiford caught five to 3lb from his float tube fishing out from the culvert on drys.
