Sunday 9th
31Anglers caught 90 Rainbows to 4lb and 3 Browns to 3lb.

Yet another very cold day, with the air temperature averaging 6c and the water temperature 7c.
Keith Thompson and Mike Walker both had six from the Whitby end of the dam. Colin green caught five from the moor side on olive nymphs. Mark Walker fished from 6.45 to 9pm and caught seventeen rainbows on a small white lure fished under an indicator from the top of the moorside.
Boats
Daniel Jefferson and les Jefferson caught eighteen rainbows to 5lb between them; they fished below the bottom moorside block for the whole day. Dermot Speight and Mike Gadd caught eleven between them on emergers fished from a drifting boat.

Monday 10th
14 Anglers caught 38 Rainbows to 7lb

27 Fish were kept at an average weight of 3lb 4oz

Mike Kilvinton kept a lovely 7lb rainbow from the moorside. John Anderson caught five from the top moorside block keeping a lovely 3lb blue. Rob Lincoln caught five fishing the bank near the holly bush.

John McGarrell caught fourteen rainbows returning some superb conditioned over wintered fish on black buzzers

Tuesday 11th
24 Anglers caught 88 Rainbows to 13lb 8oz and 8 browns to 4lb

27 Fish were kept at an average weight of 3lb 4oz

J Danks had six from the moorside. S Peirson caught four from the dam keeping two for 7lb 8oz.
Boats
Mick Burr and boat partner A R Johnson had an excellent day fishing wire buzzers. They caught thirty five fish between them keeping eight for 32lb 8oz. Mick beat his 11lb rainbow from last week with a superb fully fined 13lb 8oz rainbow to day. Malcolm Jefferson caught thirteen on dries and nymphs. Tim Grove caught seven fishing dries.

Wednesday 12th
19 Anglers caught 47 Rainbows to 4lb and 1 Brown

15 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 12oz.

The cold weather doesn’t want to go away we had air temperatures down as low as 1c to day with 7c the highest we even had snow and sleet at times. Even so we had a lot of fish showing for most of the day. G Walker caught eight keeping four for 10lb 8oz from the point and J Annis had six from the moorside.
Boats
Malcolm Jefferson followed yesterdays thirteen with ten today and Tim Grove had seven again.

Thursday 13th
26 Anglers caught 47 Rainbows to 3lb 8oz and 3 browns to 2lb 4oz

20 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb.3oz

It was a hard day to day with very little cloud cover and a cold strong SSW wind keeping the fish down. Season permits faired better than the day permits with a rod average of 2.6 to the day permits 1. Boats had the best of the sport with Tony Legg and Steve Trafford getting seven each. Norman Quigley and Les Davison both had six with Norman keeping four for 10lb.

Friday 14th
Stocked to day with 220 Rainbows from 1lb 12oz to 6lb.

36 Anglers caught 144 Rainbows to 5lb and 3 Browns

42 Rainbows were kept at an average weight of 2lb 4oz.
Bank

Andrew Grabham caught fourteen rainbows from the holy bush on buzzers. John Parker had nine from the bottom moorside on buzzers and Scott Connaughton caught ten from the Whitby end of the dam on Dawson’s Nomads returning fish to 6lb.C Morrish caught seven on lures from the boat jetty.

Boats
Trevor Rowland and Russ Moxham caught fourteen keeping five for 15lb. Wheel Chair angler Paul Richardson caught nineteen fishing from our wheelyboat. Paul caught all his fish close to the point.

Lockwood opens at 8am and closes at 9.30pm
