What an improvement today bank and boat anglers have found fish in all areas around the lake although we still have two hot spots were a lot of fish are congregating at the culvert and jetty. Boat anglers reported that a lot of fish were showing down the middle of the lake so hopefully the fish that have been lying 20ft plus down are now on the move. The prospects should be excellent for the rest of the season.

I have spent some time out on the lake with the fish finder today (Wednesday) and I am happy to say that all the fish that have been in the deep water off the dam for the last seven weeks have gone, this and the fact that most of the fish that were in the streams have moved back into the lake is why we are having such amazing catchers again. Anglers caught on Buzzers and CDC Shuttlecock’s today from the dam bottom of the moor side, top moor side block, point and jetty. We still have a lot of fish around the jetty although they are moving further and further out along the wood side and overflow end of the dam. Sport this weekend should be excellent as well as all the resident fish that are feeding throughout the day we have a further 200 Rainbows and blues from 1lb 12oz to 6lb been stocked on Friday.
The water temp at the Boat jetty at 9.30am today was 56f – 13.3c the air temp was 50f – 10c.
