We have had a very mixed week as shown by the daily returns. The weather has had affected the fishing with strong winds one day and heavy rain the next making for difficult fishing conditions. Even so anglers found a lot of fish feeding in or on the surface and had a lot of interest to dries and emergers with Klinkhammers and shuttlecocks doing well, The rod average doesn’t tell the full story as on most days anglers reported hooking and losing a lot of fish as well as having a lot of interest in their flies. Fish are now chasing roach fry some of them well in to double fingers, three anglers witnessed one huge brown estimated to be between 18 to 20lb chasing roach no more than 10ft from the moorside bank a fish of a similar size was seen on Sunday fry bashing in the Woodside bay at the point. As of yet no one has targeted these fry feeders.
