What a change from yesterday not a cloud in the sky today with the resulting drop off in catchers.
Not a lot of fish caught on the bank today B Melville caught 3 from the middle of the dam before lunch.
D Johnson and B Nutley caught 10 between them fishing up near the point. Jason Nunn caught 5 rainbows to 4lb on dry’s and wets and Olive Murray and Paul Blight had 4 each.

Not a lot I can say about today except red hot with very little wind and no cloud cover making conditions very hard.

Another day to forget only two of the 8 anglers caught fish on a day when it was 25c in the sun
Dave Urwin caught 1 from the overflow end of the dam.
Keith Morley caught 13 to 9lb fishing with 3 Epoxy Buzzers very slowly on a 20ft leader. He fished 50yds out from the bottom moor side block in about 10ft of water.

31 Anglers caught 71 rainbows to 4lb

We had a lot of fish hooked and lost today with anglers fishing over the deeper water doing the best.
M Middleton caught 13 to 3lb from the deep water at the valve tower he caught most of his fish on Orange lures and Orange Pheasant tail nymphs. Colin Brown caught 5 and Simon Purvis 4 on buzzers fishing in the deeper water on the dam.
Malcolm Proudlock caught 13 keeping 3 for 8lb 8oz he caught all his fish on Green and Black Zonkers fished 6 to 8ft down. Paul Blight caught 6 on Yellow Muddlers fishing out from the culvert.

27 Anglers caught 23 Rainbows to 4lb

We had a strange day today both bank and boat anglers had plenty fish showing in front of them but found them hard to catch.
8 bank anglers landed up to 3fish on Drys and Buzzers from the dam and top of the moor side.
Les Davison caught 6 to 4lb on Muddlers and Zonkers

13 Anglers caught 59 Rainbows to 4lb 8oz

We stocked today with 240 Rainbows Blues and Browns from 1lb 12oz to 6lb
Well today fished a lot better than I thought it would in the sun. We had some cloud at times and a light N Easterly breeze the fish were feeding in or close to the surface for most of the day.
D Coats caught 19 rainbows to 5lb from the overflow end of the dam. Colin Brown caught 10 from the valve tower and overflow end of the dam on buzzers fished under an indicator. Steve Mills caught 6 to 4lb 8oz from the dam wall on Cats Whisker. Bernard Fitzhugh caught 5 and lost 4 off fishing CDC Shuttlecock’s next to the valve tower.
Boat angler Mrs Olive Murray caught 10 and lost as many off all on shuttlecocks.

9 Anglers caught 68 Rainbows to 12lb
Rod average 7.6
9 Rainbows were kept at an average weight of 2lb 14oz.

Boat anglers caught most of the fish today only 2 fish were caught by bank anglers and 64 by boat anglers.
L Wilkinson and 17 year old C Metcalfe caught 49 rainbows between them keeping 6 for 20lb fishing the deep water out from the valve tower. C Metcalf caught 30 on Buzzers Aps Blood Worm and Pheasant Tail Nymphs fished 6 to 10ft down on a sinking line. L Wilkinson caught 19 on Buzzers and Aps Blood Worm fished in the same way as his boat partner. Steve Trafford caught sixteen rainbows to 12lb fishing 150yds out from the valve tower. Steve fished a Black Fritz on a fast sinking line and caught nearly all his fish 16 to 20ft down in 35ft of water.
