Hardy Greys will be at Lockwood from 10am on Saturday 11th with a range of rods and other tackle for anglers to try. Lockwood Angling supplies will be in attendance with a good range of Greys equipment at discount prises.

35 Anglers caught 63 Rainbows and 3 Brown Trout. Rod average 1.9

Bank Anglers Caught some fish from the dam on lures fished deep.
Boat anglers had the best of the sport fishing deep 30 to 40mt out from the dam. Daniel Jefferson had 15 and William Leitch 11 William kept 4 for 14lb 8 oz he commented that none of his fish were less than 3lb.
11 Anglers caught 34 Rainbows and 5 Brown Trout. Rod average 3.5

The cooler conditions are starting to have an effect with fish showing more and moving closer to the bank. John Annis caught and returned the best Brown Trout caught for some time at 8lb.
Tim Grove caught 10 Geoff Darling 9 and Steve Trafford 7 all caught from the deep water off the dam.
21 Anglers caught 62 Rainbows and 2 Brown Trout. Rod average 3.3

Bank angles are finding fish in range of the bank and catching up to 4 fish on floating lines with nymphs now that the water temp has dropped.
Boat Anglers are still having the best sport Malcolm Jefferson caught 16, Glen Thompson and his farther Keith caught 20 between them drifting from the valve tower to the holy bush.Tim Grove caught 11 on buzzers fished very deep out from the pipe at the Whitby end of the dam.
Wednesday 8th July Water Temperature 18c at 11.30am
19 Anglers caught 84 Rainbows and 4 Brown Trout. Rod average 4.6
22 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 4oz.
Bank anglers found fish in the top 2 to 3ft of water. John Parker caught 10 Darren Grabham 8 and Brian Grabham 7 from the dam
Keith Richards caught 6 and M Phelps 6 from the moorside .
Daniel Jefferson found the fish again catching 15 from the deep water out from the valve tower.
Thursday 9th Water Temperature 17c at 11.am
23 Anglers caught 57 Rainbows and 5 Brown Trout. Rod average 2.7
30 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 7oz.
Most anglers caught fish from the dam. Andrew Grabham caught 11 from the valve tower. Dave Urwin kept 4 for 11lb from the overflow end of the dam on buzzers. Brian Graham kept 4 from the boat jetty.
Only 2 boats out Mrs Olive Murray had some good sport drifting with dries and nymphs.
Friday 10th Water Temperature 18c at 11.30 am
Stocked today with 245 rainbows from 1lb 12oz to 5lb
32 Anglers caught 86 Rainbows and 5 Brown Trout. Rod average 2.8
36 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 5oz.
Most anglers caught fish from all areas of the fishery. Mark Walker fished small olive CDC Shipman’s and caught 15 fish from the Whitby end of the dam. Derrick Grabham fished a slow sinking line and caught 9 from the valve tower on purple zonkers. Bernard Fitzhugh had 6 from the moorside before lunch.
Only two boats out anglers caught fish fishing deep out from the valve tower with lures.
Saturday 11th Water Temperature 18c at 11.30 am
42 Anglers caught 125 Rainbows and 9 Brown Trout. Rod average 3.2
35 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 5oz.
Clark Mondaz caught 22 on Diawl Bachs, 8 wading out from the culvert and 14 from the Whitby end of the dam. Simon Purvis had 10 from the dam on the same fly.
Only two boats were out again with anglers still finding the fish in the deep water out from the valve tower with lures.
Sunday 12th Water Temperature 18c at 11.30 am
Colin Green booked out at 11am after catching 18 fish on damsels and small Diawl Bachs fishing in the wading area at the culvert.
Lockwood Opens at 8am and closes at 10pm.
