John McGarrell caught eleven from the top of the Moorside on Hears ear CDC Shuttlecocks. John kept the best fish of the day a lovely 5lb blue. Dave Walker fished next to john and caught ten on Shuttlecocks. John Anderson had nine and George Sidgwick six from the holy bush on dries. Steve Trafford caught eight from the Holy Bush.
Anglers had up to eight fish on lures and dries.

On his first visit for some time Mark Walker showed that he hadn’t lost his touch catching thirty seven fish on Cats Whisker fished under an indicator. Mark fished the lure 12” below the indicator from the overflow end of the dam. Bernard Fitzhugh caught six on CDC Shuttle Cocks from the jetty and Steve Trafford had six from the point on the same fly. Don Finlay kept four fish for 14lb from the point his best was 5lb.

C Ashby caught eleven from the point keeping four for 8lb 8oz. Andy McLeod caught eight from just above the holly bush on Darlbach. Bernard Fitzhugh caught six on CDC Shuttle Cocks from the top of the moorside and Brian Graham kept three for 11lb from the top moorside block.
Mrs Olive Murray and Jim Tate both caught five,Olives fish all took CDC Shuttlecocks.

The day started with a flat calm and ended with thick fog. Mark Walker caught seven from the dam, Neil Clark had six from the moorside and Graham Southam fished the last hour for four fish.
Stocked today with 210 Rainbows Blues and Browns from 1lb 12oz to 7lb.

It was a strange day with some anglers having some excellent sport from all parts of the lake and others fishing next to them struggling. John McGarrell caught ten on Shipman’s and sedge patterns. Less Spedding caught eight on Shuttle Cocks and shipman’s Dave Batchelor had five on Olive Crunchier. Neil Clark had five on Damsels.
Gordon Cripps and Peter Axford fished over the deep water off the dam, Peter kept the best fish of the week at 10lb 2oz and Gordon kept two for 7lb all were caught on Dawson’s Olive at about 20ft.

Ten season permit holders fished and all caught fish in fact the rod average for permit holders was Seven.
John McGarrell followed yesterdays ten with sixteen today on Shipman’s and sedge patterns from the moorside. Mark Walker caught fifteen on Cats Whisker fished under an indicator from the top of the Woodside and Graham Hill had fifteen Keeping three for 13lb 10oz Grahams Best was 7lb. Robert Thompson had ten from the moorside on dries.
We open for Day Permits at 8am and close at 9.30pm
