Sunday 2nd
28 Anglers caught 104 Rainbows to 5lb and 4 Browns to 3lb.
Rod Average 3.9
54 rainbows were kept at an average weight of 2lb.

What a Day we had snow and sleet showers with air temperatures down to 3c and never above 8c all day.
Jason Nunn caught eight rainbows to 4lb and four browns on dries and nymphs from the dam and boat jetty.
We had six boats out catching sixty nine fish between them on a variety of methods from lures on sinking lines to dries.

Monday 3rd
22 Anglers caught 67 Rainbows to 11lb 12oz and 3 Browns to 3lb 2oz.

22 Fish were kept at an average weight of 3lb 2oz
The weather was even worse than yesterday with air temperatures of 3 to 5c for most of the day and heavy hail and sleet showers the conditions however didn’t stop anglers catching some really nice fish. P Callas caught a lovely 11lb 12oz rainbow the best fish for some time. The fish took a size 12 gold head hears ear from the Whitby end of the dam. John McGarrell caught eleven on buzzers fishing both ends of the dam. Colin Lynas had seven from the overflow end of the dam and Jason Nunn had six from the boat jetty.
Mick Burr caught fourteen and his boat partner six on wire buzzers. Mick’s best fish weighed 11lb and took a green wire buzzer. Steve Trafford had seven on nymphs.

Tuesday 4th
15 Anglers caught 34 Rainbows to 3lb 8oz
Rod average 2.3
13 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 6oz

We had another very cold day. Rob Lincoln fished traditional patterns along the moorside bank for six rainbows.
Malcom Jefferson caught eleven on lures from the culvert.

Wednesday 5th
26 Anglers caught 88 Rainbows to 6lb 1Brown 5lb 12oz.
Rod average 3.4
21 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 6oz.
We had a very strong N N Easterly wind making for difficult fishing conditions George Sidgwick caught eight on dries from the dam.
Daniel Jefferson caught twelve on lures and nymphs. Steve Trafford had nine and Jim Tate and Dave Dickens eleven between them.

Thursday 6th
22 Anglers caught 95 Rainbows to 3lb 8oz and 2 browns to 4lb

28 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb.2oz

Phil Stenford kept a lovely 4lb Brown caught at the Whitby end of the dam on a orange nomad.
Boat anglers had the best of the sport today G Harrison caught eleven on buzzers, Steve Trafford had ten also on buzzers N Sinclair and G Lister didn’t start until 4.30 and managed thirty four fish between then on orange blob fished under an indicator.

Friday 7th
Stocked to day with 220 Rainbows from 1lb 12oz to 6lb.

21 Anglers caught 84 Rainbows to 14lb and 2 Browns

26 Rainbows were kept at an average weight of 2lb 4oz.
Andrew Grabham caught nine rainbows returning one of 14lb from the high bank on wirer buzzers. John Parker had eleven from the dam on buzzers .Scott Connaughton caught six from the Whitby end of the dam on Dawson’s Nomads.

P Cutter and Stan Shipley caught fourteen rainbows between them on lures keeping seven for 19lb best 8lb 12oz.

Saturday 8th
25 Anglers caught 104 Rainbows to 8lb 8oz and 2 Browns.

36 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb. 6oz

Yet another very cold day 5 to 7c with a strong easterly wind am dropping to a light north easterly after 2pm.
Mark Walker caught thirteen to 8lb from the overflow end of the dam on a small Cats Whisker fished 3ft under an indicator. Colin Lynas and Billy Wilson both caught eight on Dawson’s nomad fishing next to Mark. Scott Connaughton and Graham Hill both had seven with Graham loosing one of about 12lb at the net.
Most boat anglers caught fish with husband and wife Peter and Ann Mclean catching twelve between them.
