15 Anglers have caught 54 Rainbows to 5lb 8oz

34 Rainbows To 5lb were returned.
C Bramfitt caught 6 Keeping 3 for 6lb 8oz all caught on floating patterns pulled through the surface. G Fraser caught 4 keeping 2 for 4lb. S Hedgers Kept 3 for 5lb 8oz.
Ian Malpass and Dermot Speight caught 17 between them keeping 6 for 16lb. Mrs Olive Murray caught 9 to 5lb on CDC Shuttlecocks. Paul Drummond had 7 and P Reay 5.
Monday 29th June
21 Anglers caught 54 Rainbows to 4lb.

44 Rainbows were returned.
Boat anglers had the best of the sport today with a lot of fish out in the open water. I would expect the fish to go deeper as the water temperature rises.
P McSheffrey fished from 12oclock and caught 8 rainbows on Dry’s from the moorside.
Steve Trafford caught 17 rainbows to 4lb on a Black emerger buzzer fished just in the surface. William Leach caught 8 he hadn’t caught anything until Steve gave him one of his buzzers. Colin Crossman had 4 on Black Buzzer.
Tuesday 30th June
5 Anglers caught 23 Rainbows to 4lb

6 Rainbows were kept at an average weight of 3lb.

The lake fished well considering the conditions bright sun and strong southerly wind with temperatures in the up to 29c. only one of the five fishing failed to land a fish and nearly as many fish were lost as were landed.
Bill Davison caught 8 keeping 3 for 9lb his best was 4lb all caught on Buzzers fished under an indicator from the point. Brian Gardiner had 6 from the jetty on Orange Blob abs Black Cormorants he kept 2 fish 4lb and 3lb.
Les Davison caught 8 ton 4lb on Muddlers pulled through the waves.
Wednesday 1st July
11 Anglers caught 24 Rainbows to 4lb

18 Rainbows were returned.
Hottest day so far made for some difficult fishing conditions.
Keith Bunnett fished from 7.30 to 9pm and landed 7 to 4lb as well as loosing 5 more off. Keith caught all his fish on a Black CDC Shuttlecock pulled into the surface he said they wouldn’t take it sitting higher on the water.
Wheel chair angler George Binks fished from our Wheelyboat and Caught 4 Rainbows on Skinny Damsels fishing out from the point.
