The day started with thick fog and very cold by lunch time the fog had gone and it felt quite a bit warmer but by 3pm the fog was back and the temperature had dropped again. Most anglers had left by 5pm.
Andrew Bogan and Sister Katie caught twelve to 4lb 8oz between them Andrew had eight and Katie four from the bottom of the moor side. Andrew caught all his fish on a Cut Throat Cat and Katie all hers on dry’s both lost fish as well. Sane Thomas caught seven to 3lb from the moor side on a buzzer fished under an indicator. D Green caught six and Colin Brown and P Blight both had five.
Only two boats out and one of them only lasted two hours in the worst of the fog Paul Drummond fished for six hours and caught six to 4lb 8oz on Cut Throat Cats fished very very slowly along the bottom in about 3mt of water. As with the bank anglers Paul found the takes were really gentle making it hard to hook the fish.

Small Black drys were the order of the day today with bank anglers doing a lot better than the boats
Bernard Fitzhugh caught 10 on small black Klinkhamers from the moor side. Keith Bunnett caught 9 on the same pattern Keith only fished for three hours from the holly bush. S Walker had seven and I Morrison six from the moor side.
Boats didn’t do very well at all today.

Andrew Bogan caught Twenty two to 5lb 8oz on Black Klinkhamers, Beetles and Cut Throat Cats from the top moor side block. Rob Lincoln caught nine from the high bank on Foam Beetles and black Klinkhamers. Brian Gardiner landed three and lost two more from the jetty.
Keith Morley caught five.

20 Anglers caught 81 rainbows to 5lb

What a day warm with light winds and fish feeding on Buzzers and Beetles.
Colin Brown caught twelve from the moor side on Foam Beetles and small Black Klinkhamers. Bernard Fitzhugh fished with Colin along the Moor side and caught ten on Black Klinkhamers. Bernard found out why you should check your fly regularly, after missing quite a lot of fish he went to change his fly just to find that the one he was using had broken at the bend how many more would he have landed I wonder. N Sinclair caught seven on the last four hour permit and fishing partner B Bullock caught six.
John McGarrell caught twenty eight to 5lb his first three on buzzers and the rest on Foam Beetles. John caught from all areas of the lake and nine of the twenty seven fish he returned were over 3lb.

What a awful day the air temperature was only 7c at the fishing lodge and the light drizzle mad it feel even colder all anglers had left by 4.30pm.
245 rainbows from 1lb 12oz to 12lb will be stocked tomorrow.

245 rainbows from 1lb 12oz to 15lb were stocked today.
After a cold wet day yesterday we had another very cold day to day.
Colin Brown caught six and Bernard Fitzhugh five fishing Buzzers under an indicator from the overflow end of the dam. Paul Blight caught three to 7lb from the dam.
John McGarrell caught thirteen rainbows to 5lb on lures and buzzers fishing down the wood side. Steve Trafford caught six to 9lb 4oz from the culvert on Cats Whisker. William Leitch caught six fishing out from the jetty and Mrs Olive Murray returned a nice 9lb rainbow.

Even the bright sunshine didn’t stop anglers catching today, anglers fishing lures close to the bottom did well in the sun and later in the day when the cloud cover arrived Buzzers and small Dries started to catch. Most anglers caught fish today.
Mike Ayton caught eleven to 3lb from all areas of the bank on lures with Cut Throat Cat accounting for most of his fish. J Rust caught seven to 3lb from the top of the moor side. Junior Thomas Ayton caught seven on Cut Throat Cats from the overflow end of the dam and jetty. Robert Thompson caught six to 3lb from the top moor side block on CDC Shuttlecocks and small Black Klinkhamers. Junior Will Freeman caught five and Dave Urwin had five from the dam on Black Lures.
Only two out today Steve Mills caught eleven to 9lb 8oz on Cut Throat Cats and Yellow Dancers fishing down the wood side. J Anderson kept three for 8lb.
Last 4 hour permit available from 4.45pm.

All Boats should be back at the jetty by 8.45pm. All anglers should be of the fishery by 9pm.
