P Drummond caught five rainbows from the wall next to the jetty on dries and Steve Trafford had three rainbows from the top mooside block on CDC Shuttlecocks.

Les Davison and grandson Ben caught nine between then on Orange Blobs fishing out from the trees near the boat jetty. A Paxton fished a Baby Doll 100mt out from the top Woodside block and caught seven rainbows keeping four for 16lb 8oz with his best fish weighing 6lb8oz.

Monday 27th
8 Anglers caught 16 Rainbows to 2lb

Disabled angler George Binx caught two from the wheely boat.

Tuesday 28th

Mark Walker caught seventeen rainbows from the overflow end of the dam on small lures fished under an indicator. Derrick Grabham caught eight from the holly bush. Keith Richards had six on dries from the moorside. Ian Morrison and Michael Kilvington had four each from the jetty and jetty wall.
Boats
Les Davison caught fourteen rainbows buzzers and lures. And Tim Grove had five rainbows drifting down the moorside.

Wednesday 29th
3 Anglers caught 6 Rainbows to 4lb 8oz

18 Anglers caught 29 Rainbows to 3lb.

Only three anglers failed to catch fish to day and a lot of fish were hooked and lost most were caught from the moorside.

Friday 1st
150 Rainbows from 1lb 12oz to 3lb were stocked today.

What a day the heavy rain had lifted the level of the lake by nearly three inches and the gale force southerly wind made for an uncomfortable day. Lockwood always fishers well in a strong southerly and the anglers who braved the conditions had good sport fishing from the moorside.

John McGarrell caught twelve rainbows fishing from the holly bush to the top moorside block on small shuttlecocks fished slowly in the surface. Steve Trafford caught six and lost a lot off fishing from the point on very small Klinkhamers. Bernard Fitzhugh caught four and Olive Murray three from the holly bush to the bottom block both lost quite a few fish. The rain and wind won in the end and every one had left by 3pm.

Mark Walker caught 26 rainbows from the moorside on a small Cats Whisker on an indicator. Sam Smith caught ten rainbows fishing on a four hour permit. He caught his fish on a size 14 black Klinkhamer from a number of different places around the lake. John Heward caught nine from the top of the moorside on dries. Peter Drummond had nine from the jetty and moorside on Klinkhamers. Andrew Grabham had seven and Terry Sharp six fishing from the holly bush to the top moorside block.

Mrs Olive Murray caught seven rainbows on CDC Shuttlecocks drifting down the Woodside. N Sinclair and G Lister caught ten rainbows fishing out from the point.

Lockwood opens at 8am and closes at 7.00pm
