Wednesday 29th July
9 Anglers caught 35 Rainbows and 5 Brown Trout. Rod average 4.4

38 Anglers caught 94 Rainbows and 3 Brown Trout. Rod average 2.6
27 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 6oz.
Jason Nunn fished from 4.30 to 9.30 pm catching 12 on dries from the boat jetty. Dave Miller also had 12 fishing from the point on dries and nymphs. Other anglers had up to eight fish on dries and nymphs. Anglers fishing lures struggled to catch.

Stocked today with 230 rainbows from 1lb 12oz to 6lb.
Bank anglers are still having the best sport with good catches been made on dries nymphs and traditional wets. Lures are catching but not as many as other methods.
Les Spedding had a good day catching fourteen rainbows to 5lb on dries and nymphs wile fishing near the holly bush. Dave Walker fished from 5 to 8.30pm and caught nine rainbows and two browns on crunchers from the top of the moorside. Dave kept three fish for 11lb 4oz. other anglers had up to seven fish with anglers fishing lures struggling again.
Boat anglers didn’t have the best of days although Olive Murray did land four and side that if she had landed all the fish she had hooked she would have had over twenty.
Saturday 1st August
19 Anglers caught 80 Rainbows and 10 Brown Trout. Rod average 4.7
33 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 12oz.
Well the weather forecast was wrong yet again the wind wasn’t as strong as forecast and had died down to a light breeze by 1oclock. The heavy rain was more like a heavy drizzle and stopped after lunch leaving perfect fishing conditions with very few anglers to take advantage of it. We had boats cancelled because of the forecast and rods stayed away those who did come had some very good sport.
G Thorn caught twelve rainbows and one brown from the moorside and Whitby end of the dam. Robert Thompson caught nine rainbows on CDC Shuttlecocks from the top moorside block and Mrs Olive Murray had five Rainbows and two Browns on shuttlecocks from the same area. Both Olive and Robert lost more fish than they landed. Billy Wilson caught seven rainbows and one brown on Diawl Bachs from the holly bush. Dave Walker fished from the bottom moorside block to the holly bush for seven rainbows all caught on Crunchers.
Only one boat out D and E Storey kept seven fish for 23lb there best fish was a 7lb rainbow.
