Sunday 25th
37 Anglers caught 142 Rainbows to 9lb 12oz and 4 Browns to 2lb.

39 rainbows were kept at an average weight of 2lb 10oz

John McGarrell caught eighteen rainbows to 9lb 12oz and one brown, John caught all his fish from the dam wall on olive nymphs fished on an intermediate line. Mark Walker caught fourteen on a small Cats Whisker fished under indicator. Mark only fished from 5.30pm
Stuart Dea caught nine wading out from the culvert. G Thompson and D Grabham both caught eight from the moorside.
Wheel chair angler Paul Richardson and boat partner Paul Casey caught thirteen rainbows between them on dries from our wheely boat. Les Davison and grandson Ben caught nine between them keeping three for 12lb. Dan Jefferson caught nine on buzzers and drys and Steve Traford had eight.

Monday 26th
12 Anglers caught 25 Rainbows to 5lb and 1 Brown

10 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 12oz

With clear skies bright sunshine combined with a strong S-westerly wind affecting bank anglers catches were low.
Andrew Bogan was the only angler out in a boat. Andrew had a very good day catching twelve rainbows on foam beetle.

Tuesday 27th
31 Anglers caught 42 Rainbows to 2lb and 2 Browns

12 Fish were kept at an average weight of 1lb 12oz
Conditions looked perfect yet for some reason very few fish were seen before 7pm. We had a lot of rising fish from 7 to 830pm.
D Grabham fished an intermediate line from the dam wall and caught ten on lures.
Tim Grove had six Ken Jones Five and Les Davison five from the boats.

Wednesday 28th
19 Anglers caught 25 Rainbows to 4lb
Rod average 1.3
11 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 4oz.

We had very strong winds to day making fishing very difficult.

Thursday 29th
20 Anglers caught 63 Rainbows to 5lb
Rod average 3.3
21 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb.

The weather was a lot better to day still quite windy but not enough to stop anglers casting.
Simon Purvis landed six fish from the dam on dries he also lost and missed a lot of fish. Scott Connaughton fished from 5 to 7pm catching five on shuttle cocks.

Geff Darling and Roy Hicks had fourteen between them. Les Davison caught eleven on Bunny Leach returning fish to 6lb.

Stocked to day with 240 Rainbows from 1lb 8oz to 6lb.

33 Anglers caught 96 Rainbows to 5lb 8oz and 3Browns

43 Rainbows were kept at an average weight of 2lb 6oz.

The day started well with most anglers catching fish, then after lunch we had two very heavy hail showers leaving the ground white and dropping the temp by nearly 4c this had an effect on the fishing slowing things down for nearly 2hours.
Scott Connaughton caught ten on Dawsons Nomads from the dam wall. Les Spedding caught eleven wading from the top of the woodside.
And Junior Sam Russell kept four for 9lb.
S Mann and Alan Corr caught seventeen rainbows between them keeping four for 11lb.

Saturday 1st May

42 Anglers caught 181 Rainbows to 6lb 8oz and 6 Browns to 1lb 8oz

61 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb. 4oz

The majority of bank anglers caught fish with the dam and moorside fishing best. Mark Walker caught eighteen rainbows from the Whitby end of the dam on Cats Whisker fished under an indicator. Robert Thompson had eight and Olive Murray seven on CDC Shuttlecocks from the dam and moorside
All of our boats were out today; boat anglers caught one hundred and twelve fish between them for an impressive rod average of seven.
Most boats were anchored over water out from the culvert and Woodside. The best method however was to drift as Andrew Davison and Andrew Sowerby showed, They caught thirty one rainbows and four browns between them on small spider patterns keeping three for 10lb.

Lockwood opens at 8am and closes at 9pm
