Sunday 24th April
18 Anglers have caught 82 Rainbows to 8lb
Rod Average 4.8
16 Rainbows were kept at an average weight of 3lb 6oz
66 Rainbows to 5lb were returned.
The cold conditions are keeping a lot of fish deeper with most of the fish caught on Floating lines with very long leaders or Slow sinking lines as well as lures and buzzers fished 5 to 6ft below an indicator.
Sam Smith caught 17 rainbows to 8lb from the high bank. Sam caught 14 of his fish on Black Nomads and 3 on buzzer fished 6 to 8ft below an indicator.
Jason Nunn caught 23 to 5lb on buzzers fished on a Midge tip line. Mrs Olive Murray caught 8 to 4lb on Dawson’s Nomads.
Tony Ward caught 14 to 4lb fishing out from the point on Blobs and Cats Whisker fished on a slow sinking line.
Monday 18th April
2 Anglers have returned 15 Rainbows to 5lb

Not a good day we had heavy hail sleet and snow showers all day and the air temp dropped to -1c during some of the heaviest showers.
Only one evening permit on to day W Ranking caught 8 to 5lb on Olive Nomads from the dam. Les had 7 to 3lb 8oz fishing in between the snow and sleet showers, He caught all his fish on Cats Whisker from the Dam wall.
No Boats out today.
Tuesday 19th April
No one fished today.
We had heavy hail sleet and snow showers all day and like yesterday the air temp dropped to -1c during some of the heaviest showers.
It’s a bit warmer today Wednesday at 7c, a little better than the 3 – 4c average for the last two days. Bank and boat anglers have caught quite a few already today Colin Lynas has had 6 by lunch with his smallest been 4lb.
Wednesday 20th April
6 Anglers have caught 44 Rainbows to 6lb

7 Rainbows were kept at an average weight of 3lb 8oz
37 Rainbows to 6lb were returned.
Another cold day although not as cold as Tuesday and we didn’t have much rain.
Colin Lynas caught 11 to 5lb from the overflow end of the dam on Dawson’s Nomads fished on an intermediate line. Bill Davison caught 10 to 5lb keeping 2 at 3lb 8oz each. Bill caught 3 from the dam 4 from the high bank and 3 from the moor side all were caught on lures fished on an intermediate line both Colin and Bill lost quite a lot of fish off as well. Bill Ranking caught 4 from the dam.
Stu Redpath caught 11 to 6lb on a small black and red lure fished on a Midge Tip line fishing out from the point, Stu kept 3 for 9lb 8oz. Mrs Olive Murray caught 8 to 4lb on a small Olive Nomads.
Thursday 28th April
12 Anglers have caught 62 Rainbows to 6lb

10 Rainbows were kept at an average weight of 3lb 6oz
52 Rainbows to 5lb were returned.
We had another very cold day with snow and sleet showers making for some unpleasant fishing conditions. Boat anglers had the best of the sport today.
John Price caught 4 keeping 3 for 12lb. Phil Stentiford had the best fish of the day at 6lb.
Jason Nunn caught 18 to 5lb on Kate McLaren. Bibio and Butchers. Jason drifted down the wood side with a team of three fly’s fished on a floating line. Malcom Jefferson caught 14 on buzzers fished under an indicator. Paul Neesam had 8 on buzzers.
Friday 29th April
3 Anglers have caught 42 Rainbows to 5lb

2 Rainbows were kept at an average weight of 2lb 8oz
40 Rainbows to 5lb were returned.
We had another very cold day even worse than yesterday with heavy snow and sleet showers making for some unpleasant fishing conditions. Only three anglers braved the conditions.
Colin Lynas landed 8 to 5lb from the overflow end of the dam on Dawson’s Nomads Colin lost some fish off because his hands were so cold.
John McGarrell and Tim Grove brought 34 fish to 4lb to their boat with John getting 22 of them. Most of their fish were caught on buzzers.
Saturday 30th April
12 Anglers have caught 68 Rainbows to 4lb 8oz

15 Rainbows were kept at an average weight of 3b 2oz
53 Rainbows to 4lb were returned.
Colin Brown caught 8 to 4lb from the dam on buzzer fished under an indicator. P Eastwood fished on our last 4-hour permit and caught 5 nice fish keeping one at 4lb.
Mrs Olive Murray caught 11 to 4lb 8oz most were caught on small olive lures. G Harrison caught 10 keeping 4 for 13lb. Steve Mills caught 10 keeping 4 for 11lb most caught on buzzers fished under an indicator.
