Sunday 21st
25 Anglers caught 142 Rainbows to 6lb 2oz and returned 7 out of season browns to 6lb

Bank
Clark Mondal had excellent day fishing on the Whitby end of the dam for most of the day. He caught twenty three Rainbows to 5lb on Dawson’s Nomad fished on an intermediate line. Ian Vickers fished the overflow end of the dam catching fifteen rainbows on small lures fished on an intermediate. Ian returned some lovely fish in the 5 to 6lb range. Bernard Fitzhugh fished along the dam with buzzers with a small Cat’s Whisker on the point and caught thirteen rainbows to 6lb. Dave Batchelor had ten rainbows to 5lb on buzzers from the dam.
Boats
Husband and wife H and P Thompson fished out from the trees at the fishing lodge and caught thirty four rainbows to 6lb returning one lovely 6lb brown trout. Dermot Speight caught ten rainbows and six browns fishing out from the culvert.

Monday 22nd
11 Anglers caught 55 Rainbows to 7lb and 1 Brown Rod average 4.7
19 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 6oz

All but one of our bank anglers caught fish with the most caught on the moorside on small lures and wets
Boats
John McGarrell caught twenty six rainbows keeping two for 11lb all caught on buzzers

Tuesday 23rd
18 Anglers caught 96 Rainbows to 5lb and 1 Brown Rod average 5.3
19 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 8oz

Ian Morrison caught fourteen and Michael Kilvington had eleven from the moorside.
Boats
Paul Maddison caught seventeen on lures Tim Grove caught eleven on buzzers.

Wednesday 24th
12 Anglers caught 57 Rainbows to 3lb. Rod average 5
11 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb
Bank
Keith Richards caught thirteen on olive CDC Shipmans fishing the moorside. Rob Lincoln had ten and William Leitch had nine on emergers.

Thursday 25th
14 Anglers caught 86 Rainbows to 7lb 8oz and 3 Brown to 5lb Rod average 6.3
15 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 12oz
All fourteen anglers caught fish with most catching from the moorside on dries and nymphs.
Bank
Les Spedding caught sixteen rainbows to 5lb on crunchers and shuttle cock buzzers from the holy bush. Michael Kilvington had fifteen and Ian Morrison seven from the bottom moorside block. Keith Richards caught nine on CDC shuttle cocks and beetles.
Boats
As with last Thursday boat anglers found the strong S-Westerly winds hard to cope with. Clark Mondal fished out from the holy bush and caught eight on buzzer returning one lovely 5lb brown. Les Davison shocked us all by giving up his usual fritz lures to fish buzzers, it worked and he caught six rainbows to 5lb.

Friday 26th
Stocked today with 240 rainbows from 1lb 8oz to 8lb
21 Anglers caught 213 Rainbows to 5lb 10oz and 3 browns to 2lb Rod average 10.3
22 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 3oz.

The strong s-westerly made casting difficult but didn’t reduce the catch rate.
Bank
Mark walker caught twenty three rainbows to 6lb and one brown on buzzer from the holy bush. Dan Sefton caught twenty on damsel from toms’ seat on damsel keeping four for 16lb 4oz. G Williams caught nineteen rainbows from the bottom moorside block and John Liddle caught sixteen from the moorside and the overflow end of the dam.
Boat
P Thompson and boat partner A Gaunders caught sixty two rainbows between them with p Thompson landing 49 all caught on black woollybuger. John McGarrell and Peter Mclean caught thirty nine rainbows fishing Buzzers out from the trees above the fishing lodge.

Saturday 27th
32 Anglers caught 157 Rainbows to 6lb and 1 Brown Rod average 5
48 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb.

The very strong S-Westerly made conditions difficult for both bank and boat anglers.
Bank
Mike Walker caught two fish at the holy bush before the wind dropped then he fished from the Whitby end of the dam for another fourteen all caught on buzzers. Andrew Grabham caught ten on buzzers and four on flexi bloodworm from the Woodside block. Colin Lynas caught eleven on Dawson’s nomad from the overflow end of the dam and Andrew Greet caught eleven from the Whitby end of the dam.

Boats
Eight anglers from Northumbrian Water caught fifty one fish between them a rod average of 6.3. A Bland had the heaviest fish at 4lb 12oz, Kevin Pick and P Wagget both caught ten.
