Boats anglers accounted for most of the fish caught today.
Lee and Vicki Cartimail caught 8 between them from the moor side on CDC Shuttlecocks and Buzzers fished under an indicator. All the rest of the fish caught from the bank were caught from the dam wall.
Julian Lee Lowkie caught 13 with other boat anglers getting 9 and 5 fishing over the deep water off the dam.

Most anglers were in boats today twenty five fish were caught from boats and four fish were caught from the bank.
John Nutsford caught 2 from the moor side.
John McGarrell has caught 22 Rainbows to 4lb, John caught 15 fish on Olive Nomads and Orange Blobs fished on a Di 5 and 7 on red buzzers fished on an intermediate line from the deep water off the dam.

M Middleton caught 4 rainbows on buzzers fishing the deep water at the valve tower.
William Leitch and D Hare caught 15 to 4lb between them on Buzzers fishing the deep water out from the dam.

Conditions are very difficult at the moment with the surface temperatures keeping the fish out in the deeper water. Some fish are getting caught from the bank but most are coming from boats. Things aren’t likely to get much better until we get a cooler spell of weather.
No fish landed from the bank today.
The most anyone caught from boats today was 3 fish quite a few were also hooked and lost.

Another difficult day with most of the trout in water from 20ft deep so boat anglers should have the best sport fishing fast sinking lines. Bank anglers should have the best sport early morning and late evening. Stocking has now been suspended until water temperatures have dropped.
G Rooks caught 2 rainbows to 2lb 8oz on daddy longlegs from the point fishing on our last 4 hour permit. Junior angler C Berry caught a lovely 3lb rainbow from the point before 9am this morning.
John McGarrell only fished from 3pm to 7pm he caught 7 rainbows and lost 3 fish off fishing a Olive Zonker and Orange Blob on a Di 5 line fishing out from the valve tower over 35ft of water.
