Sunday 1st
35 Anglers caught 136 Rainbows and 3 Brown Trout.Rod average 4
53 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 3oz.

What an awful day with thick fog and some heavy rain.At times anglers couldn’t see the end of the Fly line. John McGarrell caught six from the moorside on Pink Flexi Bloodworm keeping the best rainbow of the day at 11lb 5oz; He then fished from the Jetty for seven more including a 4lb 8oz brown trout. G Thompson caught nine on beetle patterns wadding from the top of the Woodside returning a lovely 10lb Brown Trout. Paul Simpson caught a 9lb 4oz rainbow on from the bay at the top of the moorside on a Pink Flexi Floss Bloodworm. David Appleton Fished for four hours and caught seven from the holy bush.
BOATS
Alan Giles and John Martin caught 23 fish between them on Olive Lures fishing out from the holy bush.

Monday 2nd
27 Anglers caught 98 Rainbows and 1 Brown Trout.Rod average 4.2
73 Fish were kept at an average weight of 3lb.

The day was a complete change from yesterday with a very light south to south easterly breeze blowing all day. We had fish feeding all over the lake with anglers having good sport on dries and emergers.
Mark Walker caught twenty six fish on CDC Shuttlecocks from the moorside and a small Cats whisker fished under an indicator from the dam. Walter Behrens caught the best rainbow of the day at 10lb 2oz from the dam on Dawson’s Olive.
BOATS
Jim Tate caught twelve on a small Cats whisker fished under an indicator and John McGarrell had eight on CDC Shuttlecocks.

Tuesday 3rd
10 Anglers caught 43 Rainbows and 0 Brown Trout.Rod average 4.3
10 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb.

The rain kept anglers away but most of the ten who did fish had some good sport. Ian Morrison caught ten fish from the Whitby end of the dam on Damsels.
BOATS
Gary Varley fished from 5pm to 9 30pm and caught fifteen fish on Pink Flexi Floss Bloodworm fished under an indicator and Mrs Olive Murray had six on CDC Shuttlecocks over four hours in the afternoon.

Wednesday 4th
43 Anglers caught 114 Rainbows and 4 Brown Trout.Rod average 2.7
44 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 5oz.

The day started with no wind and fish rising all over the lake, at lunch time the wind picked up to a light breeze anglers reported fish showing all over the lake but found them hard to tempt. Jim Tate had the best day catching seventeen from the Whitby end of the dam on Cats Whisker and Pink Flexi Bloodworm fished under an indicator. Keith Richards christened his new 5# G TEC rod with a 12lb fin perfect rainbow which he returned. Keith caught the fish on a size 16 CDC Shipman’s fished on 3lb tippet. Keith Bunnett caught a 5lb 8oz brown from the moorside on CDC Shuttlecock.
BOATS
Geoff Darling caught eight on Hears Ear nymph and Jason Bushby had eight including a 4lb 12oz Brown Trout on lures.

240 Rainbows Blues and Browns from 1lb 12oz to 6lb were stocked on Wednesday 4th.

Thursday 5th
26 Anglers caught 112 Rainbows and 0 Brown Trout. Rod average 4.3
27 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 10oz.

Friday 6th
38 Anglers caught 144 Rainbows and 2 Brown Trout. Rod average 3.8
31 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 10oz.

Saturday 7th
20 Anglers caught 126 Rainbows and 0 Brown Trout. Rod average 6.3
23 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 12oz.
