4 Anglers caught 7 rainbows to 3lb
Rod Average 1.8
2 Kept for an average weight of 2lb 8oz
I have spent some time out on the lake with the fish finder today (Thursday) and found fish in water from 6ft to 35ft. Down the wood side we have fish from 2ft to 6ft in 6 to 8ft of water. In 17ft of water out from the top moor side block I found fish from 4ft to the bottom. Out over the deep water off the dam the fish were from 6ft down to 29ft. At this time a couple of weeks ago most of the fish were in the deep water off the dam and the rest were packed into the streams, now they are spread over most of the lake at a good verity of depths and there are not as many in the streams.
The Surface water temp out on the lake at 3.30pm today was 63f – 17.2 at 20ft down it was 16c and the air temp was 66f – 18.8c.
We are resuming stocking tomorrow Friday with 240 rainbows from 1lb 12oz to 5lb going in. If the weather forecast is right for a change and we get all the rain and cooler temperatures the fishing will improve for both bank and boat anglers.
