Sunday 19th Water Temperature 17c at 10.30am

28 Anglers caught 173 Rainbows to 6lb and 3 Brown Trout to 1lb 4oz. Rod average 6.7
40 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb.6oz.

To day was nearly a copy of yesterday with most anglers catching five or more fish. Season permit holder Andrew Greet caught fourteen rainbows and two browns. Andrew fished halfway between the top moorside block and Tommy’s seat catching his fish on a mixture of dries and nymphs with Hears Ear accounting for most of them. John McGarrel caught fifteen on Black and Olive Crunchers fishing from the bush at the top moorside block. P Sinclair caught thirteen from the bottom moorside block. Visiting anglers Geoff Neesam and N McCallum caught twenty between them from the holly bush on nymphs Geoff had twelve of them. Clark Mondal fished the Whitby end of the dam and caught ten rainbows on Diawl Bachs.

Mike Taylor caught seventeen on a verity of methods from dries to lures fished on sinking lines, Mike kept four for 11lb 12oz. Les Davison and 13 year old grandson Ben caught twenty seven rainbows between them on blobs fished on intermediate lines. Ben beat his granddad by catching fourteen of them.

Monday 20th Water Temperature 17c at 11.30am

22 Anglers caught 110 Rainbows to 12lb and 1 Brown Trout. Rod average 5
24 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 12oz

G Stephenson caught twelve rainbows keeping four for 20lb 8oz his best fish was a exerlent 12lb rainbow all were caught on Black Zonkers from Tommes seat.
John McGarrel followed yesterdays fifteen with fifteen today most of Johns fish were caught on nymphs fished under an indicator from the top moorside block. Ian Morrison had ten and Terry Sharp nine from the moorside.

Dave Dickens caught fifteen and boat partner Jim Tait ten on small lures fished under an indicator.

Tuesday 21st Water Temperature 16c at 01.15pm

16 Anglers caught 73 Rainbows 10lb and 24 Brown Trout to 8lb. Rod average 5.5
24 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 6oz

Andrew Grabham caught 24 fish fishing below the holly bush on CDC Shuttlecocks, Diawl Bachs and Red Flexi Worms. Andrews’s first fish was a superb conditioned 8lb Brown which he returned he also returned a number of rainbows between 4 to 6lb. Norman Quigley and Keith Thompson Both landed six rainbows from the bottom of the moorside. They both lost more fish than they landed.

Geoff Darling caught ten and boat partner Roy Hicks six all caught on hears ear nymph’s wile fishing close to the wood side in 3 to 4ft of water. Mrs Olive Murray landed seven rainbows on CDC hears ear Shuttlecocks fishing in shallows out from the culvert. Olive also hooked and lost more fish than she landed. Alan Byfield only managed to hook three fish but what fish he kept one of 5lb 8oz and returned fish of 11lb and 9lb.

Wednesday 22nd July Water Temperature 16c at 11.30am
14 Anglers caught 74 Rainbows and 16 Brown Trout. Rod average 6.4
15 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 4oz.

Thursday 23rd
23 Anglers caught 74 Rainbows and 8 Brown Trout. Rod average 3.7
23 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb.

Friday 24th
30 Angler caught 123 Rainbows and 28 Brown Trout. Rod average 5
32 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 4oz.

Saturday 25th
31 Anglers caught 93 Rainbows and 9 Brown Trout. Rod average 3.3
31 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 4oz.
