Last Saturday I said how cold it was to day it was nearly too hot at 20c. We had green fly in there thousands on the water at times there were so many that it looked like a green carpet this resulted in hundreds of fish cruising in the surface mopping up the green soup for most of the day . Some anglers even had problems with blocked tip rings. The successful bank anglers fished lures on slow sinking lines and one angler did well on Knotted Midge. In the boats it was two of our lady season permits who caught the most, Mrs Ann McLean and husband Peter caught sixteen between them, Ann had nine and Peter seven all caught on a size 16 suspender buzzer. Olive Murray fished small olive Shuttle Cocks for eight fish proving that they could be caught.
