It was a strange day with day permits finding fish hard to come by yet season permits found a lot of fish. Clark Mondal caught seventeen on damsels from the boat jetty. Robert Thompson caught eleven from the overflow end of the dam on the same damsel patterns.
Mark Walker caught ten fishing from the top of the Woodside on a small cats whisker fished under an indicator. Dave walker braved the wind at the holy bush and caught four rainbows to 4lb 8oz and two browns and Graham hill had the best fish of the day at 6lb and retuned five more from the overflow end of the dam on cat’s whisker.

The day stated slowly but by 10am the temperature had improved and fish could be seen at the surface.
We only had five anglers on the bank today and they all had fish. Mark Walker caught thirty two from the boat jetty Mark kept changing between Buzzer and small Cats Whisker under an indicator. M Davies had ten from the dam on lures fished on a floating line and Dave Urwin only fished for an hour but managed four rainbows on Black Frits.
William Leitch fished out from the lodge end of the Woodside and caught nineteen rainbows and one 6lb out of season brown trout all caught on a small Cats Whisker.

Quite a average day with most anglers catching fish the overflow end of the dam, boat jetty and high bank fished best.
Les Davison caught six Rainbows including the best of the season so far at 13lb 4oz all were caught on Black Bunny Leach fishing out from the boat jetty.

Clark Mondal caught thirteen on damsels from the Boat jetty. D Best had nine from the dam wall on Dawsons Olive.
Daniel Jefferson caught ten rainbows on lures fishing out from the boat jetty.

P Sinclair made good use of the four hour permit. He caught ten rainbows from the overflow end of the dam. Ed Malony fished the moorside and court five rainbows returning one supper conditioned over wintered 10lb rainbow.
Boat anglers found the strong S-Westerly hard to cope with Les Davison managed three keeping one for 5lb.
Stocked today with 240 rainbows from 1lb 8oz to 6lb

What a difference from last Friday the air temp got up to 15c today.
Bernard Fitzhugh caught twenty two rainbows managing to lose one estimated at 10 to 12lb. Bernard fished an indicator with a black buzzer 2ft below and a small white and green gold head a ft below that. Anthony Rutter caught six rainbows from the moorside on traditionals keeping a lovely 5lb 4oz rainbow. Ken Thompson had six off the boat jetty on Cats Whisker.
John McGarrell caught twenty four rainbows to six lb fishing Buzzers out from the trees above the fishing lodge. Glen Thompson caught fourteen on lures and Frank Shotton also had fourteen on Dawsons Olive.

What a day we have had heavy rain for most of the day and a very cold n-easterly wind and the air temperature never got above 5c all day.
Colin lynas followed on from last weeks thirty catching eighteen rainbows today from the overflow Colin had all his fish on Dawson’s Nomad fished on an intermediate, Mark Walker had 20 fishing small lures under an indicator from the moorside. Graham Hill, Robert Thompson and Mike Walker all caught thirteen fishing from the top moorside block to the culvert.
We had no boats out today.
