The rain finally caught up with us today conditions were excellent up to about 1pm when it started to rain very heavy for about an hour we then had a short brake followed be more very heavy rain most anglers had left by 4pm.
Colin Brown caught six to 11lb 8oz from the jetty four on small dries and two on a small Cats Whisker fished 12in under an indicator. Colin weighed his big fish in his weigh net and released it safely. Dave walker caught four from the moor side before the rain. Junior Tomas Ayton caught three to 3lb 8oz from the moor side.
Only one boat out and they didn’t stay long Grant Smith and boat partner caught five to 3lb.

10 Anglers caught 40 Rainbows to 4lb 4oz

Bernard Fitzhugh caught eleven rainbows on Shuttlecocks. Keith Thompson caught six on Cut Throat Cats from the jetty. G Barnett and John Mann caught five each. Rob Lincoln caught four to 3lb 4oz.

Black Gnats and Beetles have been the main food items, at times we have had fish feeding on the surface all over the lake anglers fishing Small Black dry’s and Foam Beetles have had some excellent sport. As with most days we have had nearly as many fish hooked and lost as were landed.
Dave Miller caught fourteen to 3lb on small Black dry’s from the top of the moor side. Colin Brown caught ten to 3lb 4oz on Foam Beetles from the top of the wood side. Keith Bunnett caught eleven over two nights on Klinkhamers. James Catron caught five on the last four hour permit.
Tim Grove caught six four rainbows and two browns. Keith Morley had five and Colin Boxall five to 5lb.
Photo Conditions are very good today Friday. Boat and bank anglers are catching a good number of fish from all areas of the lake. We have stocked today with approximately 300 1lb 12oz to 6lb rainbows.

29 Anglers caught 95 Rainbows to 5lb 8oz

300 rainbows from 1lb 12oz to 6lb were stocked today.
John McGarrell caught fourteen rainbows to 4lb twelve on small Black Gnats and two on small Cut Throat Cats from the jetty. Colin Brown caught nine on Foam Beetles from the moor side. Paul Blight caught five on lures from the point and top of the moor side.
Seven anglers fished in the CSSC quaffing boat competition today they caught 32 fish between them. John Heppell won with twelve fish and Andy Sinclair was second with eight. All seven anglers caught fish.
Mike Gadd and Dermot Speart kept eight fish between them for 21lb 12oz Mike and Dermot spent most of the day drifting down the middle of the lake.

30 Anglers caught 69 Rainbows to 4lb 12oz

We had bright sunshine all day making for some challenging fishing the anglers who did best fished on or close to the bottom with Damsels, GRHE and lures.
B Wilson caught seven on Buzzers and Hears Ear Nymphs from the top of the moor side. Dave Lawrence caught six from the moor side. R Feenan caught six on Damsels from the high bank. Phil Stentiford caught five three from the top moor side block and two from the jetty all were caught on Cut Throat Cats. Robert Thompson caught five from the bottom moor side block on Hears Ear Nymph.
We had four boats out to day and only one failed to land any fish. K Ward and J Foster had seven between them on lures fished deep.
Lockwood opens at 8am and closes at 9.30pm

Last 4 hour permits are available from 5 pm.
All Boats should be back at the jetty by 9.15pm. All anglers should be of the fishery by 9.30pm
