Catch return Sunday 10th to Saturday 16th July

64 Anglers have caught 158 Rainbows to 7lb.
Rod Average 2.5
34 Rainbows were kept at an average weight of 2lb 8oz.
124 Rainbows were returned.

The water temperature at the Jetty on the 17th was 19c

Not many rods on the water again this week and yet again no clear method stood out with anglers catching on Dawson’s olive, Cut Throat Cat, Damsels, Hoppers, Emerges, CDC Shuttlecock’s and small black Dry’s. it’s typical July fishing where the best tactic is to keep on the move as the fish are well spread and can be feeding in one area but not in another.
Steve Mills fished from a boat on Monday and caught 25 to 4lb fishing near the old slipway on a verity of patterns. Les Davison caught 11 over two days from a boat Les was fishing out from the point and caught on Hoppers and Cut Throat Cats. Ben Davison caught 8 to 3lb from a boat on Olive Bunny Leach. Tim Grove caught 6 from a boat on CDC Shuttle cocks and F Fly. Wheel Chair angler George Binks caught 4 from our wheely boat on Klinkhamers. Colin Brown caught 8 to 3lb 8oz from the bank with most of his fish coming to damsels as usual Colin kept on the move. Gordon Rooks fished on Thursday night from the bottom moor side block and caught four on Dawson’s Olive keeping one at 3lb 8oz and returning two at 4lb and one fin perfect 7lb fish.
We only have Four Places left on our Junior Fly-fishing Course on July 29th
