Only two anglers Braved the very strong cold Northwesterly winds on Monday and Tuesday, on Wednesday we had a good covering of snow up to lunchtime although the anglers who fished did quite well the rest of the week stayed cold with strong winds.

The biggest fish of the week 11lb fell to boat angler T Conley. Mike Ayton caught 14 and John Waller 10 on lures from the dam wall, Ian Morrison also had 10 from the dam on buzzer fished under an indicator. Paul Richardson caught 11 from the wheelyboat keeping one rainbow of 7lb and returning a rainbow of 10lb 8oz and a brown of 5lb 4oz. Paddy Murray had rainbows of 10lb 8oz and 9lb, J Dick 10lb 2oz,k Johnson 9lb 8oz, A McKee kept three for 14lb best 9lb 8oz and D Storey kept 4 for 15lb best 7lb. P Harvey and S Aitkin kept Browns of 4lb 8oz.

Prospects for the coming week weather permitting should be excellent with 240 rainbows to be stocked 200 1lb 8oz to 2lb and 40 3lb to 6lb the head of fish in the lake will once again increase. Anglers can expect some good buzzer hatches and possibly some olives

Top Nymphs were Pheasant Tail. Black and Olive Buzzer, GRHE and Damsel Nymph.
