It’s been a difficult week with most anglers finding conditions very hard; the evening rise has been excellent on most nights with sedge patterns doing well, towards the end of the week we had massive falls of flying ant’s the fish went mad for them but they did make for uncomfortable fishing conditions.
Some anglers did get among the fish catching on a variety of methods Mike Ayton caught 7, the two best were 10lb 4oz and 9lb 8oz from the top block area on the moor side on Diawl Bach fished under an indicator. John Mcgarrell had 9 to 5lb from the bay at the top of the woodside on damsels. Peter Dawson kept 2 for 10lb including the best blue of the season at 4lb.Boat anglers Dermot Speight and Mike Gadd caught 15 on a very difficult day on CDC f Fly and small dries.
