There were plenty of fish rising although some anglers found them hard to tempt, only 6 anglers didn’t catch although most managed only one or two fish. Chris Micallef caught 24 on a verity of methods from Blobs to Dries. Chris moved around the lake and found fish in most areas. Mark Walker caught 11 from the overflow end of the dam and Dave Walker had 9 including a 6lb 8oz Brown trout.
We had seven boats out but only one angler really got among the fish. Gary Varley caught 15 fishing near the bottom moorside block on a mixture of patterns.
32 Anglers caught 158 Rainbows and 7 Brown Trout. Rod average 5.1

The day started quite warm at 12c but by lunch had dropped back to 9c. Boats fished better than the bank although most bank anglers did catch fish on dries and emergers from the dam wall, only 5 of the 32 anglers fishing didn’t catch. Dave Walker fished a pink flexi floss blood worm from the boat jetty and caught 9 rainbows. Les Spedding caught 9 and Dave Bachelor 8 wadding out from the culvert both fished with dries.
Steve Mills and Jason Nunn caught 41 fish between them on olive frizz gold heads fished fast through the surface. Dave Bruce and Edward Dale caught 29 fish between them on GRHE and Klinkhamers. Gary Varley caught 15 from the same place as yesterday on buzzer fished under an indicator.

We had fish feeding hard allday all around the lake. Anglers fishing with CDC Shipmans, CDC Shuttle Cocks and Beetle patterns had the best of the sport.

The warm weather had fish feeding on top all day, anglers caught on CDC Shuttlecock, CDC Shipman’s and Small Dries, Jim Tate caught 9 from the Whitby end of the dam on Yellow Dancer fished under an indicator and 3 from the overflow end on CDC Shuttlecock. Neal Clark caught 8 on Damsels from the culvert.
Mrs Olive Murray caught 8 on CDC Shuttlecock fishing out from the boat jetty, Olive returned two brown trout of 5lb and 3lb 8oz.
Stocked today with 350 Rainbows from 1lb 12oz to 2lb 4oz 75 Browns and Rainbows from 3lb to 6lb (av 4lb) and 27 Rainbows averaging 11lb,(8lb to 15lb)
50 Anglers caught 201 Rainbows and 3 Brown Trout. Rod average 4.1

Paul Calvert caught 16 from the dam on dries keeping 4 for 11lb. John McGarrell caught 12 on CDC Shuttlecock and Klinkhammer. Mark Walker had 10 on CDC Shuttlecock. Graham Southam fished from 7pm to close and caught 9 on CDC Shipman’s from the culvert.
Garth Tilley and his boat partner caught 34 fish between them they kept 7 for 32lb Best was a 13lb rainbow. M Reed and partner caught 20 between them keeping 7 for 29lb Best was a 8lb 8oz rainbow.
59 Anglers caught 212 Rainbows and 7 Brown Trout. Rod average 3.7
66 Fish were kept at an average weight of 2lb 10oz.
John Mcgarrell caught 16 from the Whitby end of the dam 7 on Pink Flexi Floss Buzzer fished under an indicator and 9 on Klinkhammer.
Dave Sanders caught 12 wadding from the culvert on small dries. John Waller caught 10 from the top moorside block on Gold Ribbed Hears Ear. Mark Walker caught 10 from the overflow end of the dam on CDC Dries. Graham Southam returned an 8lb 6oz brown from the bottom moorside block.
Andrew Bogan had an excellent day fishing 100yards out from the jetty catching 22fish on small dries. R Barron caught 10 keeping one Brown Trout of 4lb 8oz.
